RAYMARINE TUNA MASTERS ALAÇATI 2024 FISHING TOURNAMENT HAS ENDED
THE DEVLER LIGI TUNA MASTERS 2024 AWARDS HAVE BEEN PRESENTED
The Raymarine Tuna Masters ALAÇATI 2024 Fishing Tournament, held under the main sponsorship of Raymarine, hosted by MarinAlaçatı, and supported by Çeşme Municipality, concluded with an award ceremony on September 22, 2024. The Devler Ligi Tuna Masters Golden Belt will be carried by the YALI-35 team, which also won the Largest Fish award at this year's tournament.
This year's Raymarine Tuna Masters ALAÇATI 2024 Fishing Tournament, held from September 19 to 22, 2024, attracted a record number of participants due to its high interest. A total of 65 boats registered for the Raymarine Tuna Masters ALAÇATI 2024, the second and final leg of the Tuna Masters series, coming from all marinas around Çeşme, as well as from countries like Cyprus and South Africa.
Among the competitors in the Raymarine Tuna Masters ALAÇATI 2024 were many masters who have proven themselves in international waters, including Erkut Soyak, Gökhan Çarmıklı, Turgut Konukoğlu, Suat Yiğit, Mahmut Özgener, Altuğ Aksoy, Sinan Kuran, Can Kestelli, Alp Kırşan, and Bülent Delican.
The Raymarine Tuna Masters ALAÇATI 2024 Fishing Tournament began on September 19, 2024, with the arrival of the boats at the marina. After the briefings given on September 20, the tournament witnessed tough battles under strong winds that sometimes turned into storms on September 21 and 22.
On Saturday, September 21, a concert by Seda Mete was held, sponsored by Raymarine. The competitors, recharged by Seda Mete's magnificent stage performance and energetic voice, prepared for the final day of the tournament. After weighing and measuring the fish caught on the final day, an award ceremony was held based on the scoring by the judging panel. The UCHE team, which caught an 8.84 kg Skipjack Tuna and scored 53.04 points, placed 3rd overall. The awards for the UCHE team were presented by Ahmet Keçeci, the Director of Çeşme District Agriculture.
On the final day of the tournament, the FAITH-2 team caught a 36 kg Bluefin tuna, scoring 216 points, making them the 2nd overall team. The FAITH-2 team received their awards from Olcay Filiz, the President of Çeşme Port.
The NITROMAC team, competing in the Master Class category using a 0.5 lb and only 17 kg test line, caught 2 Bluefin tunas weighing 38 kg and 50.55 kg, reaching 796.95 points and becoming the 1st overall team. The awards for the NITROMAC team were presented by Banu Ayhan, the Deputy Mayor of Çeşme.
The 75.25 kg Bluefin tuna caught by the YALI-35 team competing in the Master Class category won them the Largest Fish award at the Raymarine Tuna Masters ALAÇATI 2024 Fishing Tournament. The awards for the Largest Fish and sponsor prizes were presented to the YALI-35 team by Orhan Özdaş, Director of Raymarine.
The YALI-35 team, who came to the Raymarine Tuna Masters ALAÇATI 2024 with 298.5 points from the first leg, StafuPro Tuna Masters TEOS 2024, achieved 677.25 points at the Raymarine Tuna Masters ALAÇATI 2024, reaching a total of 976 Golden Belt points and will carry the Golden Belt for one year. The YALI-35 team received the Devler Ligi Tuna Masters 2024 Golden Belt from Mehmet Maraşlı, the Kaymakam of Çeşme. The tournament concluded with a gala dinner and events hosted by Ferdi Baba.
