Seek Shade

When possible, seek shade during the sun's peak hours, which are usually between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If you're at the beach or pool, bring an umbrella or a beach tent for shade. If you're hiking or camping, look for shaded areas and take breaks in the shade. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, staying in the shade can reduce your risk of sunburn and heat-related illnesses.
